Puerto Vallarta ofrece una gastronomía muy variada, en la que destaca
su aroma y sabor, donde se puede degustar la típica cocina mexicana e
internacional como la francesa, griega, italiana, china, alemana,
japonesa, etc.
Uno de los productos principales en la cocina de esta ciudad es el
pescado y marisco, con el que se elaboran platos como cebiche de mojarra
o pulpo, albóndigas de pescado o camarones en tequila o en salsa de
calabaza desflemada, o los típicos antojitos mexicanos.
Otros de los platos que podemos degustar en Puerto Vallarta son las
gorditas que están hechas con tortillas chicas y muy delgadas fritas y
adornadas con picadillo, col rebanado y cebolla
Y como postre nada mejor que degustar el posi, elaborado con masa de
maíz, azúcar y tuna o la "cuala" que se hace con masa, leche, azúcar y
coco de aceite molido. Pero también existen otros postres como la cajeta
de de mango o los dulces de leche y las cocadas.
En cuanto a la bebida típica destacar la tuba y el tejuino,o bebidas refrescantes como son el agua de coco, de nanche, jamaica y tamarindo.

In Brazil, the Rio+20 Summit will address sustainable development at the global level; and in Colombia, the sixth Summit of the Americas will focus on the connectivity and regional cooperation as a means to overcome the hemisphere’s challenges.
In this context, President Felipe Calderón of Mexico will open this year’s World Economic Forum on Latin America in Puerto Vallarta, on 16 April.
More than 800 professionals from over 70 nations will attend, including heads of state Désiré Bouterse, President of the Republic of Suriname; Felipe Calderón, President of Mexico; Ricardo Martinelli, President of Panama; Otto Perez Molina, President of Guatemala; and Mariano Rajoy Brey, Prime Minister of Spain.
With the full support of the Government of Mexico and the Forum’s key Strategic Partners, the World Economic Forum on Latin America will convene key decision-makers from government, industry, civil society and academia in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Under the theme “Regional Transformation in a New Global Context”, leaders will shape a strategic vision for the region’s growth, gain understanding of its global potential and align stakeholders around that vision to inspire its realization.
In addition, with the participation of the energy ministers of Latin America, the second Sustainable Growth Summit will take place, and will be structured on three pillars: mobility, resources and energy. A meeting between the ministers of economy and anti-corruption officials from the G20 will be held immediately after the World Economic Forum on Latin America.
